About Me
Michael James Kelley II (M.J.)
Scholar. Entrepreneur. Protector. Coach.
I’ve spent my life pursuing truth—whether that’s on the front lines of public service, in the nuances of a Greek manuscript, or on the sidelines of a baseball diamond. My journey has taken me from a 13-year career in law enforcement, where I served as a Lieutenant, to the deep waters of academic theology and entrepreneurship.
I believe that faith shouldn’t just be felt; it should be defended with intellectual rigor and lived out with practical excellence.
Academic Pursuits
I am a firm believer in being a lifelong student. My academic background is rooted in understanding the “why” behind what we believe:
- Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies
- Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies: Apologetics
- Master of Arts in Biblical Studies
- Master of Arts in Theological Studies
- PhD Candidate (Finalizing): Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Apologetics at Liberty University (Go Flames!)
Beyond the Books
When I’m not writing or researching, you can find me:
- In the Dugout: Coaching my son’s baseball teams. There’s nothing quite like teaching the next generation about teamwork and perseverance.
- Building the Future: Running Auctus Assets Inc. alongside my wife, Denisse.
- Exploring Traditions: I’m a bit of a bourbon and whiskey enthusiast, always on the hunt for a rare find or a great story to share over a glass.
Family First
The most important “rank” I’ve ever held is Husband and Father. Denisse and I have been married since 2010, and together we are raising four incredible children in the heart of The Woodlands, Texas.
